Hulett
Chamber of Commerce
Welcome to Hulett, WY
Hulett, WY – a community that offers more than scenic views and western hospitality. We offer a “close encounter of the best kind”—a chance to step away from chaos and into clarity. That pause, that breath, that moment of wonder might be exactly what you need to make the rest of life “doable” again.
We believe in Hulett’s power to transform. Just 9 miles from Devils Tower National Monument—America’s first national monument that draws over 500,000 visitors annually—our small town remains Wyoming’s best-kept secret. Here, the wide-open skies stretch endlessly over rolling prairies, and the quiet of a Wyoming sunrise can restore even the weariest soul.

What Makes hulett special
In Hulett, we live differently. We understand the rhythm of seasons—from the ice and snow of winter to the eye-popping greens of forest and sage in spring. We know the value of sitting by a warm fire on a cold night, of watching a sunset paint the clouds red beneath a canopy of emerging stars. These experiences have shaped our western heritage and spirit for generations.
We recognize that today's world moves at an exhausting pace. The constant demands of technology and modern life leave many yearning for something authentic, something real. That's what Hulett offers—not just a destination, but a return to what matters.

A Community of Character
Established in 1896 and named for Louis Hulett, whose family settled here in 1881, our town offers the warm welcome of 306 residents who understand the true meaning of community. Here, neighbors help neighbors, strangers quickly become friends, and faith, family and freedom endures as the pace of life follows the rhythms of nature rather than the ticking of a clock.

Where Every Season Tells a Story
Though peaceful throughout much of the year, Hulett pulses with distinctive energy as the seasons change - from spring's Old West Invitational Turkey Shoot to summer's Rodeo, a steady flow of Tower-bound travelers, August's rumble of motorcycles, and fall's gathering of hunters. Each season writes its own chapter in our ongoing story.
A Complete Experience in a Small Package
Despite our size, Hulett offers all the amenities travelers need: medical clinics, a school, bank, post office, public library, grocery store, cafes, motels, a newspaper, an airport, museums, and the Golf Club at Devils Tower with its 18-hole private course and the renowned 77 Steakhouse and Saloon.

Beyond the Ordinary
Step into the Hulett Museum & Art Gallery to discover northeast Wyoming’s rich history – from dinosaur bones to homesteading stories. Venture out to experience premier hunting opportunities, challenging golf, an old-fashioned down-home rodeo experience, or a curiosity visit to our (famous with the biker crowd) ONE star downtown Rodeo “dive bar” for a visit with local “regulars”, or simply take a contemplative hike around Devils Tower. For sportsmen, adventure seekers, history buffs, and those simply needing respite from modern life’s demands, Hulett delivers experiences you won’t find elsewhere.
The Spirit Highway Leads Here
Follow the path less traveled. The Spirit Highway guides you off the freeway to Whitewood, past the Center of the Nation at Belle Fourche, or the Vore Buffalo Jump, through the historic 120-year-old general store in Aladdin, and directly to our doorstep in Hulett. Here, where the highway ends, a different kind of journey begins - one that follows back roads to places both on the map and within yourself.
