Local Entrepreneurs and New Arrivals Embrace Chamber Partnership
The Hulett Chamber of Commerce continues its remarkable growth streak, welcoming two distinctly different but equally passionate business operations into the membership fold. From a family's "why wait to retire" adventure to established local expertise, these newest members showcase the diverse entrepreneurial spirit that makes our community thrive.
Devils Tower View: Living The Dream Now

Tower View owners Daryl and Sarah Taylor with their son Tolkien receive their Hulett Chamber of Commerce membership plaque and welcome materials from Chamber board member Bunny Engberg.
Sometimes the best business decisions come from the heart. The owners of Devils Tower View didn't want to wait for retirement to pursue their dreams, so they sold their house in Washington state and bought this unique Devils Tower-area destination that perfectly combines their love of hospitality with adventure.
Open daily 8 AM to 7 PM during summer (Thursday-Sunday in off-season), Devils Tower View has become the go-to stop for great food, fun, and unforgettable views. Their family-owned café serves mouthwatering buffalo burgers, crispy broasted chicken, fresh salads, and light snacks, while guests can quench their thirst with cold bottled drinks, fountain sodas, or chilled beer.
The experience extends well beyond dining. Their eclectic gift shop offers visitors the perfect place to find "a little something special," while their biker- and pet-friendly campground features 8 RV sites with electric hookups and a clean, convenient shower house.
"What makes Devils Tower View special is that combination of great food, comfortable camping, and that incredible Tower view," said Chamber Director Bunny Engberg, wearing the Chamber's signature "Back Roads" logo shirt that reflects our partnership theme with Yellowstone National Park Journal. "They've created exactly the kind of memorable experience that keeps visitors talking about Hulett long after they've returned home – truly letting a back road take them home with unforgettable memories."
The "Back Roads" theme resonates deeply with both new member stories – whether it's following dreams like the Taylors or finding community like the Hendricksons, sometimes the best journeys happen when you let a back road take you home. Local singer-songwriter Bunny Sings Wolf, who received the inspiration for the "Back Roads" song through dreams, perfectly captured this slower, more thoughtful approach to life that draws people to our area.
During off-season, the fun continues with lively PITCH games every Friday at 7 PM, creating a community gathering spot that brings locals together during quieter months.
H&H Repair Shop L.L.C.: From Soldier to Community Cornerstone

H&H Repair owners Joshua and Lea Hendrickson receive their Chamber membership plaque and logo decal from Chamber representatives.
Sometimes the best journeys take unexpected turns. Joshua Hendrickson's path from U.S. Army soldier to Hulett's go-to mechanic is a testament to following your instincts toward community and purpose.
After serving in Alaska, Joshua left the Army in 2011 and headed to Laramie's WyoTech, Wyoming's premier technical trade school. It was there he not only trained to become a mechanic but also met his future wife, Lea. The couple spent the next decade in Casper, where Joshua honed his craft as a professional mechanic, but city life eventually lost its appeal.
"We wanted something different," Josh explained. "A smaller town, a stronger sense of community—somewhere we could really put down roots."
That place turned out to be Hulett. The Hendricksons made the move in 2021, trading central Wyoming's high winds and wide-open spaces for trees, mountains, and the tight-knit community they'd been seeking. Since then, they've embraced everything about small-town living—from local events to lending a hand whenever someone's in need.
In 2024, after 14 years of mechanical experience, Joshua launched H&H Repair LLC. The shop offers comprehensive services that keep the community moving: small engines, ATVs and UTVs, automotive, light and heavy-duty diesel, agricultural and construction equipment, emissions system troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, A/C repair, oil changes, and fleet maintenance programs. They even provide mobile repairs and services, bringing expertise directly to job sites.
"We built this shop to serve the community, plain and simple," said Joshua. "Whether it's a chainsaw that won't start or a dozer dead on a job site, we'll get it running."
For the Hendricksons, Hulett isn't just where they live—it's home. And with H&H Repair, they're proud to keep the community moving, one engine at a time.
Chamber Momentum Reaches New Heights
These memberships represent more than just business partnerships – they showcase how the Chamber attracts both established local enterprises and newcomers who choose our area as their destination for building dreams.
"From entrepreneurs who sold everything to follow their passion to veterans who found their calling in community service, our Chamber family reflects the full spectrum of what makes a community complete," noted Chamber Board Member Connie Lindmier. "Each new member strengthens not just our directory, but our entire regional economy by choosing Hulett as the place to build their dreams."
Both businesses can now be found prominently featured in the Chamber's growing online directory at www.VisitHulett.com, where thousands of national visitors discover Hulett through our partnership with Yellowstone National Park Journal. The Journal's beautifully written feature about Hulett as the scenic "back roads" gateway to Yellowstone National Park and Devils Tower National Monument highlights many local businesses throughout our Northern Black Hills community – demonstrating how Chamber partnerships benefit the entire region, even before businesses join our membership family.
