Hulett Volunteer Fire Department Receives Chamber Membership

Community Partnership Bears Fruit as Brush #7 Truck Returns to Service

The Hulett Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the Hulett Volunteer Fire Department has joined our growing membership family with a complimentary 2025 membership, recognizing their essential service to our community.

Successful Partnership Repairs Critical Equipment

The firefighters pictured are standing in front of the now successfully repaired Brush #7 truck, which repair was made possible through a remarkable community partnership. Last April, the Chamber partnered with the Fire Department for the "Community Power-Up SPRING: Fire Department Auction & Chamber Launch Celebration" at the Senior Civic Center.

This joint fundraising effort proved tremendously successful, raising $2,338 for the Fire Department while the Chamber received $620 for their community initiatives. The event also featured the presentation of an $8,000 grant from the Powder River Energy Foundation, which was instrumental in completing the Brush #7 pump repair.

Powder River Energy Foundation Support

The Powder River Energy Foundation, established in 2007 as a tax-exempt, not-for-profit foundation, uses funds exclusively for charitable purposes. Their funding comes from benefactors, fundraisers, and the Operation Roundup® program administered by Powder River Energy Corporation. The foundation is proud to be part of the communities they serve, supporting various community projects each year. Learn more about this program at their website at https://www.precorpfoundation.org/

Upcoming Fire Department Fundraiser

The Hulett Volunteer Fire Department announces their annual fundraiser BBQ, silent auction, and raffle scheduled for Saturday, September 13th at the Fire Department.

Raffle tickets are now available at various Hulett businesses for $1 each or 6 for $5, featuring these prizes:

  • Custom designed iron burn pit crafted by Scott Newlin
  • Cabela's $250 gift certificate
  • Yeti Tundra 75 supremely insulated cooler

The event will feature a pork roast BBQ (by donation), hamburgers, hot dogs, served with salads, desserts, baked beans, coffee, iced tea, lemonade, and condiments donated by various individuals and vendors.

The gift bags included fresh baked mini sourdough loaves by Chamber member Deb Bears' Reveille Bakery, a music CD from Hillbunny Productions, a discount gift card from St8neWalker Stone Massage, and a copy of the Yellowstone National Park Journal featuring our full-page Hulett advertisement.

"Your donations and support through membership fees make this possible and make all the difference to put Hulett's BEST foot forward to welcome visitors and attract new business and commerce to our area," said Chamber Director Engberg.

The Chamber invites all in our community to join our growing membership with application forms available to apply online or to print and mail at www.HulettChamberofCommerce.org or www.VisitHulett.com to support and partner with the businesses and organizations that keep our small town alive and thriving.
